Now a days people are talking about a rumor in the industry that there will be iPhone with GPS receiver in spring 2008. Most probably it would be built on SiRF Star III chip. According to the source - Apple is certain to use a chipset using Assisted GPS (A-GPS) technology. (A-GPS) is necessary in urban areas with tall buildings or locations with heavy tree cover.
