Sony Ericsson’s updated P990i firmware RD623 is available now.
Details on R6D23:
- PDA software version: CXC 162036 R6D23
- Phone software version: CXC 162037 R9G007
- Bluetooth software version: CXC 162058 R5A01
- CDA version: CDA 162007/1 R6D23
Some of the improvements observed so far:
- More Ram - ~16MB at startup
- Fast startup
- Overall fast response to applications and menus
- Browser is fast (new opera version)
- Camera improved - auto focus more responsive, better video recording
- New icons for .jar or .sis in file explorer
- Gallery preview is no more blurry
- Music update is faster
- Auto key lock is default now
- Alarm is loud and at a constant level
- A new menu has been added under control panel - others: payment transactions

3rd party Bluetooth Stereo Headphone compatibility problem has been solved. My Bluetake BT420RX now plays streamed stereo from P990i. No more “The Bluetooth device is not authorized for this audio stream” error. Some other people in other forums also reported they can use their “generic” bluetooth stereo headphones with P990i after the update.

i updtaed my P990 to this vrsion last night. its best and fast. but have a BAD bug!!!! phone cant stay at focuse in video mode. when i focused in imagr mode and change to video mode focus crash! always focus not be used on video mode and it’s crazzy and shet! bugs. plzzz help me.

i think the browser has a bug. it doesn’t matter what website you visit but if it has a search bar, the rectangular outline of the search space is invisible.

I got the W600i, it got the WSOD, when i try to update the firmware/update, it just failes at 93%!
anyone know how to fix that error?

SEVERE BUG!
Hardware buttons (flip keys) are not functioning! namely: the menu key, keys 1,2&3 and select key on the right hand side. This become unresponsive after I update. Twice I update to correct it but still happening. Can anyone advise on this….? HELP!
