Apple releases the iPhone OS 3.1.2 update. It’s around a 241 MB download. The update fixes some of the bugs and contains improvements to the old version, including:

  • Fix for occasional crash during video streaming
  • Fix for the issue that may cause iPhone to not wakeup from sleep
  • Fix for the issue that may interrupt cellular network services until restart

Following products are compatible with the software update:
iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS

The iPhone Dev. Team just issued a warning to users who care about their jailbroken or unlocked iPhone devices, to avoid updating the device with the latest iPhone OS 3.1.2. The 3G and 3GS owners should pay particular attention. The main reason behind this – at the moment redsn0w and PwnageTool are not compatible with OS 3.1.2.

Hope to get the updated versions for these tools in near future.
